Anzhi Makhachkala head coach, Guus Hiddink, has ruled out Arseniy Logashov and Emir Spahic out of Russian Cup final against CSKA Moscow at Terek Stadium (Grozny) on June 1, 2013.
Spahic, captain of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, sustained a knee injury while training. Though the Russian outfit has not provided any details about the injury, news suggests that the 32-year-old
could miss the domestic cup final.
Logashov, on the other hand, did not participate in the training held at Anzhi-Arena on Thursday ahead of the much anticipated cup tie against the Moscow-based club due to an ankle injury.
“Duel with CSKA Moscow will be a real test of endurance. So, we need to find real balance. We are waiting for real football festival atmosphere at Grozny.
“Spahic got something with a knee. He is a brave player who works days in days out. I hope everything will be alright at his end because the injury could be serious.
“I am very sad for Logashov because I thought I will give him a chance in the upcoming match. I think he will not be able to train for next two weeks. I think it’s a great loss for Anzhi,” The former Real Madrid
coach was quoted as saying.
Hiddink heaped praise on CSKA, saying that Leonid Slutsky’s men are playing quality football at the moment and indicated that the Moscow-based club are clear favourites going into the domestic cup final.
The Dutch tactician warned his side against complacency, saying that they need nerves of steel to claim a win in the upcoming fixture against newly crowned Russian Premier League champions.

Anzhi will play the match on the back of a 0-1 defeat in a league tie against Kuban Krasnodar at Kuban Krasnodar last week. The Makhachkala-based club finished third on the league table with 53 points.
