Hiddon Coin favourite for Deloitte Novice Stakes
Hiddon Coin has got a decent chance of winning the Deloitte Novice Stakes at Newcastle in England on Thursday, May 31, 2012. The winner of the class-5 event will be awarded a cash prize of £2,394.
The going will be good to firm in the 5 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 18:05 GMT. Only six entries have been confirmed for it and their names are as follows: Ingleby Royale, Hiddon Coin, Lucies Diamond, Madam Mojito, Exactement and Lothian
Countess.
Looking at the shorter distance to cover, it appears that Hiddon Coin has the best chances of winning the race. He has got very good speed and his performances until now have been pretty much impressive. However, things will not be easy for him, as the level
of competition is quite high today.
The two-year-old gelding has participated in just a couple of races until now, winning one of them. He made his debut at the start of this month and was impressive in his maiden outing.
Despite not being able to win the event, the David O'Meara’s trainee showed what he could be capable of in the future. He finished fourth back then, which was not a bad result at all, as there were a total of eight runners taking part in that race.
In his most recent race, Hiddon Coin did not have any problems at all and he took away a comfortable victory. He does not seem to have a very good stamina, but that does not matter in the shorter distance events.
The brisk runner will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Daniel Tudhope, who has won quite a few races at this level. However, his strike rate is not impressive at all and he will need to bring a lot more consistency in his performances.
Things will not be easy for Hiddon Coin in the race, as he will be up against some very good runners. One of the contenders for victory is, Ingleby Royale, who seems to be in very good shape at the moment.
The two-year-old filly has participated in just a couple of races, winning one of them. However, she was unable to make a strong impression in her most recent run, as she finished fifth in it.
