Question:

Hide Firefox Menu/Tool bar?

I just installed Firefox on my computer and I'm having trouble trying to hide the browser's 'Menu Bar'. Unlike Internet Explorer, I cannot solve this problem by simply right-clicking the toolbar and unchecking Menu Bar, so is the Menu Bar permanent in Firefox? This is important when your on a smaller 14" widescreen.

Also, I find browsing faster and easier in IE than I do in Firefox, b/c of the bar tab. Opening a new page is a simple click away, where as in Firefox it's much more difficult (right-click, New Tab OR Ctrl-N). I'm very new to Firefox so I'm hoping someone can alleviate some of my doubts about this new product by answering some of these very basic questions.

  2. I've never tried to hide the menu bar, but apparently, yes, it is fixed.

As to opening a new tab, just double-click instead of right-click and you'll get a new tab.  Also, to open a reference on a web page in a new tab, right-click on it and select Open Link in New Tab.

    Hope that helps.

  3. i have firefox and i love it is way safer then internet explorer and no u can not hide or delete it.
