Hideo Kojima searching for development talent to work on next title in Metal Gear Solid franchise
Hideo Kojima, creator of the renowned Metal Gear Solid franchise, is looking to add a new member to his development team that will be working on the next chapter in the series.
The Japanese game director made use of the social networking and micro-blogging service Twitter to promote a GDC job portal website. The website revealed that the Metal Gear Solid developers are searching for skill engineers, artists and creators who will
be undertaking the roles of programming, art, game design, sound and production.
The GDC job portal website is titled “Big Boss Wants You; The ‘Next’ MGS” that is stirring quite an excitement amongst the fans.
The site also reveals that the Kojima is looking to open a studio in California if his team is able to find the right people.
The advertisement for jobs on the site is for both the studio in Japan as well as the studio that the creator of Metal Gear Solid plans on opening in America.
The job portal site also teased the fans of the popular franchise by revealing an image of the Big Boss, though no further information was provided to keep the fans guessing.
According to the rumours, the new chapter in the Metal Gear Solid franchise will be powered by the Fox Engine that was first revealed to public during Konami’s Electronic Entertainment Expo press conference in 2011.
The first chapter of Metal Gear Solid was released by Konami for Sony’s gaming console PlayStation One in 1998. The excellent reception of the game convinced the developers to continue with series, releasing the second and third chapter of the franchise
for PlayStation Two.
With the rapid advancement in technology, Kojima and Konami decided to step up the graphics of the game and eventually released the fourth instalment on PlayStation Three. All four parts of Metal Gear Solid made huge sales around the globe.
The cinematic cut-scenes powered by the in-game engine and graphics, along with the excellent voice acting was one of the stand-out features of the game.
The fans of the stealth/action franchise are anxiously waiting for the next title in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, expecting it to be nothing short of spectacular.
