Question:

Hiding a nose piercing?

Okay, so my friend wants me to go with her to get my nose pierced tomorrow, and I want to do it, but facial piercings aren't allowed at my job. I just want a small stud in the side of my nose. I am old enough and everything, so no concerns there. I just want to know if there is a good way to hide it while it's healing.....so, don't suggest those clear studs because I won't be able to switch them for a while.....help?

  1. when u buy ur stud u can put it on backwards and have the pointy part stickin out of ur nose but u will have to buy a really small one so u wont notice it stickin out lol

  2. Hmmm...My only other suggestion is to cover it with a band-aid. Facial piercings aren't allowed at my school either, but people got away with it by covering it up with a small band-aid. It may look kind of bulky and weird though, like you're trying to cover up a pimple. Be careful though, because band-aids hold a lot of moisture in, and can help cause infections. As long as you clean it thoroughly, it should be fine.

DON'T put make-up on it. That is a sure way to an infection.

  3. well actually i got a nose stud this summer and it only takes about three days to heal

then you can switch it to a retainer which you refer to it as a clear stud,

but bcareful w. the retainer bcuz they hurt, like they itch cuz there not so short

  4. It's going to look really weird to wear a bandage on your nose for weeks while it heals...especially if you have a job dealing with the public, or work in a restaurant or something like that.

I think you have to ask yourself which you'd rather have, the piercing or the job.  It might be something to put off doing until you have a job that doesn't have rules like that, or until you have some vacation time accumulated to use while the piercing heals enough that you can conceal it more easily.

  5. Well...some people have their own ways and tricks of covering them up but one way is to just make sure noone sees it by covering it with ur hand when somebody is near you and pretend u r scratching ur nose or sneezing...you could also put a bandaidor coverup on the stud just not on your skin or near the hole otherwise u will surely get an infection, wash it constantley though...go into the bathroom and wash it with disinfectant or something if u put make up on it...even a bandaid, they can cause moisture to build up under and into the hole.
