Question:

Hiding from visitors and other people?

I've noticed that sometimes when I have a guest at my house, and they leave the room we are in, I will experience a sudden urgency to hide myself(in a closet, in the dark etc). I feel compelled to. Its an obsession. I can compare it to watching a horror movie, its inevitable when he or she will return.

Is there something wrong?

  1. Yes something is wrong. But at least you dint act on your impulse, as long as you don't start actually hiding I'd say do what you're doing cause it's working. If you start hiding then you may want to seek help, ask your doctor to refer you to someone.

  2. I think I can explain this a little for you.  You are not finding that you have enough space/time  for your own needs therefore when anyone else enters your environment you feel you cannot cope with the extra demands on you.

Perfectly logical to me. I am not a nice person myself if anyone invades my space and I make sure that my space is MINE until I have had enough of it! So no, absolutely not! I do not think there is anything wrong with you at all other than the fact that you are occasionally deprived of "battery charging" time!

Take it - whenever you need it. You are entitled to it just as everyone else is. Best wishes. UK

  3. I do that to so when someone gives you a good explanation. hit me up.
