Well, your a man so thats a plus. Lyric voices (higher and lighter) are always the more common than dramatic ones. Generally, bigger is considered better: They carry over larger orchestrals, they are able to fill bigger halls etc.
However that doesn't mean you should give up, there are a number of roles generally designated for lyric voices such as: Papageno in Magic Flute Figaro in The Barber of Seville Pelleas in Pelleas et Melisande Marcello in La Boheme
And there are many other factors which are just as important as vocal size: ACTING, Looks, and diction are key to performers
Hvorostovsky is a verdi Baritone, a much larger and darker voice.
