High Court rules out Hick and Gillett’s case in favour of Liverpool FC

The American owners of the Liverpool Football Club have lost their case at the High Court. Tom Hicks and George Gillett recently approached in the High Court to get hold the club, as the club was about to be sold to the NESV (New England Sports Ventures)
group.
The Americans were seriously being criticized by the fans of the Liverpool as well as by the higher club officials. Hick and Gillett sacked two directors of the club to stop the procedure of selling the club to NESV as according to them the bid placed by
the NESV is not fulfilling the monetary requirements of the club as well as the low bid is disrupting the reputation and honour of the club.
Now the decision by the High Court means that the process of sale to NESV can progress without any stoppage. The Liverpool football club’s boss Martin Broughton has also announced that the newly offered bid by the Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim will also
be considered in the board meeting which will take place very soon.
The boss expressed his feelings and thoughts very happily and told the media that he is very happy and delighted about the decision made by the court, as it is very important for the club. He added that the situation is clear now and it will help them to
settle the issue at their earliest. Broughton added that it is a very crucial time for the club and for him as well, as he was anxious about the result of the hearing and so far he is very happy with the way the decision has been made.
When Broughton was asked about the matter regarding the auction of the club to NESV, the chairman said that the decision regarding the sale will be made in the board’s meeting. He added that the future of the Liverpool club is great and he is happy for the
club. The Liverpool’s chairman expressed his aims and ambitions and told the media that they will try their utmost to make solid foundations for the club. He continued by saying that the debts of the club will be cleared and they will try to find the best
owner for the club and for the Liverpool club’s fans.
The head of NESV John W Henry has praised the role of the Martin Broughton, club’s Managing Director Christian Purslow and Marketing Director Ian Ayre regarding the matter. Henry said that Broughton, Purslow and Ayre have done their job pretty well, and
he is happy with the court’s decision as well.
NESV has offered three hundred million pounds for the ownership of the Liverpool football club. The amount offered by the NESV group is enough to pay the debt of two hundred and forty million pounds dues owed to Royal Bank of Scotland.
Recently a new offer has been proposed by Peter Lim to acquire the club. The offer put by the Singaporean billionaire is of three hundred and twenty million pounds cash. The new bid is also offering a huge amount of forty million pounds to acquire new football
players for the club. On the other hand, the club has been approached by American hedge fund Mill Financial for the acquisition of the ownership. It is reported that the bid placed will provide a huge amount of a hundred million pounds to fund a new stadium
for the club. It is also to be noticed that Mill Financial also holds George Gillett’s fifty percent stake.
The ownership of the club will wipe away many problems for the club. Now fans of the Liverpool football club are eager to see the club’s new owner.
