High Definition Camcorders (Sony HDR HC5E) Question?

Can i record in High Definition on MiniDV but then change it to SD (standard definition) when I put it on DVD?

Would you recommend it?

I want to do this because I dont have a blu ray burner yet so want to keep HD footage on miniDV and SD footage on DVD - Is this possible?

  1. You'll have to change it to SD to get it onto your DVD player anyway.

    Don't bother with a HD camera yet anyway, wait for more editing software to become available on the market
