  1. Can't go wrong with a good ol' Mars bar!

  2. I've tried most of them. I used to work in gear store so we would "Product Test" quite often.

Clif, Luna, and Larabar are my favorites. Except the Peanut Butter ones, because I always want a big glass of milk after I've eaten one. All three are Vegan, but check the labels if you care about that stuff. Clif also makes the Mojo bar...awesome. One has pretzel rods in the bar and the other ones are like the b*****d child of peanut brittle and trail mix....really tasty stuff. I keep a good stockpile of Clif and Luna bars at home, at work, in my car, and my ski bag. I can't get Larabars as easily, but they taste great as well...Ginger Snap and Lemon are my favorites. Even though Luna is designed for women, nothing un-manly will happen to you if you eat one. The Cookies & Cream Luna bar actually is the best tasting energy bar I've ever eaten.

Peak Bars are actually baked. They expire more quickly and taste pretty good too. I haven't had one in a while.

Boulder Bars (if they are still made) looked great but were dry and bland. These were/are Vegan as well.

Powerbars look and taste like taffy. If you like taffy, great. If not, try something else. The Powerbar Harvest line is much better, but I still like Clif more.

All of these have about the same amount of calories...so does a Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pie....which still tastes better.

The mother-of-all energy bars has to be the infamous Pemmican Bar. They clock in at about 500 calories per bar! Pemmican Bars have legendary status among Boy Scouts. Rumor has it you can break one up, put it into a quart Nalgene bottle, fill the bottle with water, and the Pemmican Bar will expand to fill the bottle. I use one as a paperweight.

    They taste like bark.

Clif Shot Bloks are also tasty. Like Jello cubes, but once they get wet they get messy.

Any of them are still going to be better than a run-of-the-mill candy bar..but Snickers and Chunky would be the way to go if you just wanted to stick with that stuff. At least you get some nuts and fruit as well as tons of chocolate and HFCS.

  3. would you not be better using blades. energy bars would be to rough.

  4. power bar cliff bar

  5. Snickers
