Is Canada required to advertise that HFC is used in their products? I have noticed in many drinks bought in Canada that it doesnt say that however many in the US specifically mention it. Is that because Canada doesnt use it or they are not required to mention it?

  1. i dont think so.. america is becoming more concious of what they put in there mouths.. thats all.. and its a good thing.

  2. I am a former chef and from Canada (Toronto ON) our soft drinks and beverages are sweetened with High Fructose/Glucose, a derivative of sugar, made like corn syrup by boiling down sugar and fructose to a more concentrated volume. So in essence our soft drinks like Coke, Pepsi and 7 UP are sweetened with sugar and are kosher all year round.

  3. There are laws in the USA about having to disclose anything present in amounts over a certain limit. Also, HFCS appears to be horrible for one's health
