How are HID lights different from fluorescents? Also, do they go by a different name? I did a search for them and didn't get many hits.

  1. you mite try xenon lighting that is one of the gases used in common HID lights ie the lights you would see on a higher end car such as bmw or a benz. And they are much brighter then fluorescent over a much greater area and do not be fooled by those HID bulb kits for 20 bucks or so those bulbs only last a few months and then you'll find ur self driving with no headlights or one headlight u need the whole assembly should cost around 200 or 300 bucks it includes some hardware and the bulbs of your choice  xenon being blue i believe but be carefull when going for diffrent colors some areas do not allow variation in the color of headlights

  2. Pretty much the same except different structure. :D

  3. as a matter of fact since light is a wave maybe they both have different frequencies in which they travel.
