High Noon hot favourite for Jamaica Sprint Trophy - Heat 1
High Noon is likely to dominate proceedings in the Jamaica Sprint Trophy - Heat 1 at Coventry in England on Thursday, June 21, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will be awarded a cash prize of £150.
The 263 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 20:19 GMT and a total of six quality hounds will be seen in action. Their names are as follows: High Noon, Bush Standard, Slick Stone, Gold Finch, Cloncunny Magic and Finnside Scolari.
Looking at the shorter distance of the race, it seems that no one will be able to challenge High Noon today, as he has got lightning fast speed. He has been performing really well in recent times, which will encourage the punters to place the maximum number
of bets on him.
The P. Dolby’s trainee has managed to win thrice out of his past five races, which shows the kind of form he is in at the moment. It will be difficult for his opponents to match him at Coventry today.
Furthermore, the blue dog has got some useful experience, which means there will not be much pressure on him. He is carrying a decent momentum right now, as he secured the runner up spot in his most recent outing. He was not rated as the favourite to win,
but was expected to give a tough time to his main rivals.
However, High Noon struggled in the race and finished second by a huge margin of seven lengths. He was unlucky back then, as he did not get a clean run that time around. Moreover, he got off to a slow start, which allowed the leader to get away comfortably.
The favourite dog is expected to turn things around today, as he has the skills to do so. He is the son of Ballymac Maeve out of Tahiti Pearl and was born in June 2009.
There is a solid chance for Bush Standard to cause an upset at Coventry, as he is a fine runner. His recent form has also been quite impressive, but he can be a touch inconsistent at times, which is not a positive sign and the bettors will be discouraged
to risk money on him due to this.
