ok i can only really do 20lbs with curl up with one arm, i do like around 15 per set around 5 sets, now im wondering is this doing anything to help me out cuz i know i gotta move up to 25lbs but i can only do that at my friends house once or twice a week usly on a day that im resting, soo is it good that im doing around 15 reps with 20lbs or is it a waste of time and i should be doing around 6-8 or 10 reps per set?

  1. you can make your 20lb. one arm curls harder by slowing down rep speed. take the momentum out and then it becomes a more effective exercise. at least, mix it up. do some sets fast and some slow.

    i can curl about 80lbs for 12reps.

but i could take a 20lb dumbbell and do slow reps and could never make it to 5sets of 12reps. maybe 3sets tops.

do one arm, immediately switch to other arm and then back again. only rest one arm gets is while other arm is curling.

when you can't make it to 8reps. stop.
