  1. don't worry about it. i'm younger than than everyone else in my high school and i made it through freshman year easy. stick to your friends from middle school until you find new ones, i'm not saying you ditch your old ones, just try for a few more. freshman friday is a myth where i live. and if you can, try to make friends with upper class-men, but don't make unnecessary enemies. relax and have fun with new people and teachers. high school is fun. i'm 13 btw, but no i'm not lying, i really am in 10th grade.

  2. Work hard and be yourself. I know it sounds cheesy, but honestly it's the best advice and I wish I had taken it back then. It's only four years and they will not be the best of your life no matter what the saying is. Work hard so you can get into your dream college and pursue a fun, dynamic career. Don't get caught up in trying to impress others, you will likely only stay in touch with less than a handful. There are a lot of extremes and stereotypes in high school from the kids that drink and party to the angsty drama kids. Try to walk the middle road. Always remember to look at the bigger picture, high school is such a small percentage of your life.

  3. It's just like middle school, just bigger and more mature.

Holy c**p, how do people buy into that freshman friday c**p? IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

    Just focus on your work.
