High School Deploma Requirements?

Question

I am a homeschooled student from Canada, but I am currently in Texas. Since I've been here, I've met two students who are getting into homeschooling, but are completely unaware about how to go about it. Since I don't know much about American high schools, I'm not much help...

So, what classes are needed to graduate, and how many total credits are needed? Are there any Texas homeschoolers out there? Any information would be really helpful!

In Texas, your parents determine your graduation requirements and issue your diploma.  Here is some additional info on graduation:

If your friends want to attend college, they may want conduct some research as to the admissions requirements of colleges they want to attend to make sure they meet the guidelines.
