There is a possiblity I may have to stop going to High School, and get a tutor or home schooling. How would that work out? Would I still get my High School Diploma or would I have to take the GED or what? I HAVE to have my High School Diploma, but can I do it without acctually going to High School?

  1. Home schooling gets you a diploma allthough the GED is just as good.

  2. If you're homeschooling, your parents would issue you your diploma when you have completed their planned courses, just like when you go to high school and have completed all their planned courses.  Unless by homeschooling, you're actually enrolled in a distance learning or correspondence school, in which case they would issue your diploma.  Sometimes homeschool co-ops or support groups or "umbrella schools" if you belong to one would actually issue the paper, when your parents say you're ready for it.  All of these are just as good as a public school high school diploma for things like employment and going to college.

  3. All you need is a GED and that is the equivilent of a HS dimploma on job applications.
