I'm starting practice for football in a couple days and I'm just wondering about some stuff. I have never played football in my life lol, and I'm going to be on JV with all sophomores, and I am a sophomore. I am 5'11" or 6'0" and 130 pounds, also I am very fast because last year I ran track and was on the sprinting team. What position do you think I will play and do you think I will get hurt badly when tackled because of my weight?

Thanks!

  1. I think you should play Running back or wide receiver. That is your choice. I would say I'd would say Receiver because your tall and fast. I hope your hands are good.

  2. Last year, when I played football, I was Reciever/CB. I'm 5'8 and about 135 and has OK speed to do my job. Don't worry about getting tackled, you get used to it and it's better than RB where 300 pound guy try to tackle you as well LBs. WR is the position for you, as long as you can catch. If you like to tackle, CB or FS. Special teams is not a bad place to start =) Good Luck.

  3. CB or wide receiver

  4. wide receiver probably

catch the bal and dont get hit !!

  5. if i were u i would try out for receiver. if you ar fast and kinda tall its a good position. and no you will not get hurt if u get tackled. ive been palying football sense i was 7 years old and have only got hurt 1.

  6. if u can catch then wide recvier. if not work out and gain a little weight and be offensive line.

  7. no offense but you need to put some pounds on. you could play receiver but ur gona get smacked
