High School Football?

I'm a sophomore and this year, is going to be my first year playing HS football on varsity or JV, I don't know yet ,but we have to pay a fee of $300. My family, as well as myself, aren't in the greatest financial situation right now, and I can't get the $300 anywhere. I'm afraid that I'll get cut if I don't pay it. What should I do?

what is the fee for?  Ask the coach if there are any ways of someone sponsoring you.
