  1. It's true.  Starting in high school your grades really matter because they determine what you can do from then on.  If you want to go to college at all you'll need acceptable grades, and if you want to go to a good college then the better your grades are the higher your chances are.  Do your best in high school and you'll always be glad that you did.

  2. Grades matter in high school! If you slack off in high school and don't do so well, you probably won't get into a great college (if you plan on going to college), and that can change a lot of things for you career-wise. High school is your chance to show people that you have the drive to do well, and colleges like students who do well in high school (obviously).

  3. GRADES COUNT A LOT! you need to get a good gpa. take Honors and AP classes and do the best you can in all your others. junior year is especially important because of SAT's and all the other tests. so it is definitely true!

  4. Your cumulative grade average should be at least a 3.0 B.

  5. h**l YES THEY DO. they determine your gpa, so if you get like all ds and fs youll have a crappy gpa which every college you are applying to will see, and your grades help the college determine on whether they let you in or not. youre competing against thousands of students, remember that. PLEASE DO GOOD. youll retgret it if oyu slack off i promise.

  6. YES THEY MATTER

want to get into a good college?

    want scholarship money?

    want grant money?

all these things require good high school grades

  7. YES! So is community service and school involvement. If you really put a lot of effort into your school and being involved, you're more apt to get scholarships and/or offers for better colleges.

  8. No, it's absolutely not true. There's no need to do well in high school. You can always find great jobs at McDonald's. ;)

  9. Dur Du DUR!!! Yes if you want to have a susseful future then yes you do need good grades.

  10. Depends if you work hard you can get a second chance. Me I took the D is for diploma route in high school. As such I knew I was not going to get any scholarships and most likely not be accepted to any school so I joined the Army. Not that it would have mattered I could have been accepted to Harvard on Sept 12, 2001 I would have been at the recruiting station to enlist. Well after 4 years active duty I went back to school starting at the local community college, then I transferred and have been on the Dean's list the entire time, I have a 3.96 GPA, with plans and a way to go to law school, ( I study for the LSAT 3 hours a day). So while high school does not necessarily count, if you do well it does make life easier. Doing well in high school does set you up for success, as success is an attitude, form it early on and it sticks with you. Still like I said if you mess up in high school, you can work hard over come that mistake, embrace the attitude of being successful, and you can make up for it but it is on you and it will take a lot of dedicatation and hard work.

  11. definitley!

  12. duh! ask anyone, it's true!
