Is it better to get a B in an AP class or an A in an Advanced/Honors class? Which one looks better to colleges and universities?

  1. Definitely an A in an honors class.  


  2. A B in AP if you do well on the exam. The admissions officers will just assume the teacher is a hard grader. With advanced/honors, there's no standardized test to compare the grades, so an A could mean a lot of things. If you don't think you'll do well on the exam (ask about the past performance of students taking the exam after the class), then it's trickier. If you're applying for a super selective college, the answer is to get an A in the AP course. Otherwise, for scholarship purposes (they look at grades without as much background on the school/teacher/classes taken), it might be wiser to take the Honors course.

  3. Alright when you submit your grades to colleges you have 3 blank sheets of paper to fill in all the things you want to tell your college/university why not put both because I'mm sure they will be impressed witheitherr of your two amazingscorings
