  1. It depends on where it is.  Part of my reunion was in a park, so people brought their whole families (including kids.)  I would shy away from bringing kids to any formal venue however.

  2. No, sounds kind of innappropriate to me. I am guessing these are kids under 18?

But if it is an adult child that you would like to escort you, that would be fine.

  3. I never follow that

  4. No, the ones around here (Ca) are night time, dressed up affairs. I've never heard of one that included children.

  5. No, I've never heard of that one. usually at high school reunions around here, there is some alcohol (eg champagne), and it's generally at night. And besides that, kids wouldn't have much fun meeting Daddy's old crew, or Mommy's former cheer captain. They'd want to be home in their pj's watchign Spongebob lol.

  6. It depends on the plans made by the organizing committee.  My graduating class coordinated a Reunion weekend for our 10th that started with a get together on early Friday evening, then there was a picnic for the entire family Saturday afternoon, and a dinner, dance on Saturday night.

For the 20th, they did the same, but our 35th, we just had a dinner on Saturday night.

If your reunion committee doesn't specify family activities, it probably would not be a good idea to take children to the planned events -- but it sure couldn't hurt to ask.

  7. Depends on the type of function; if it's an evening function, then probably not a good idea.

On the other hand, if it's a daytime function (such as a picnic) then perhaps.

Keep in mind that your reunion is about seeing people you went to school with, not so much with their kids.  Perhaps you can schedule a picnic or activity with them (i.e. the next day if you happen to be in town) where you can meet the kids.

I would ask the co-ordinator about a kids policy if you're unsure.
