  1. The work load honestly hardly increases at all, unless you plan on taking honors or I.B. classes.  Upperclassmen aren't all jerks; I'm a senior and I don't pick on freshmen, but then, I'm unusually mellow, ha.  And as far as getting lost goes, it all depends on where you go to school.  My school is pretty spread out, so my first day, it was pretty awk-weird.  Eventually you get used to it, though.  I figured my way around by pretty much the end of the month.

  2. Im also starting high school on September and im also kinda nervous but when you think about it, it isnt that hard its quite soft actually. Im taking all academic courses and they dont seem very hard because my sister is going to grade 12 right now and she also took every course academic so dont get nervous not that much homework and u aint gonna get lost

  3. -The amount of work depends on the classes and the teachers. I averaged about an hour per night of homework, so nothing unmanageable.

-The upperclassmen are intimidating at first, but they don't mean to be. Most of the time they don't even know you're a freshmen lol

-Some people do get lost, and others don't. If you have no idea where you're going, just ask an upperclassman.

  4. Okay, this question is all up and down this forum. I suggest reading some of the other people's answers. I asked a similar one too, so don't be afraid to scan through mine. I'm not sure if I have my profile set to private or not.

    tips:

Wake up a bit earlier for the first day of school. This way, you can settle your mind and get yourself together. Eat something too.

    - Most likely the first day is orientation, so just bring a binder with some loose leaf paper, a notebook, agenda and pen or pencils.

    - throughout the school year try to turn in all assignments on time, or only one day late. Try your best at projects, and make sure they're done neatly and thoroughly. Plan your time. I learned from other users that if you schedule out your time (ie after every assignment take a five minute break. Eat before starting work. When finished with work, hang with friends and family)

    - If you need help, ask for it. if you're embarrassed to do it in class, ask for help after class and get help during lunch.

    - Be organized. You'll become a better student if you keep yourself organized. Put important assignments in a folder seperate from your notes or your homework.

  5. Well it may be difficult to tell you if the word load is too much. Since some schools have all classes through the week, and others are arrange. Other than that anyone can be intimidating, just dint let them intimidate you.

Yes from my experience, many have got lost on the first day of school, and not just the freshmens.

  6. Is the work load too much? No, its definitely doable, but you really have to do it. Don't procrastinate your freshman year and slack off. You'll regret it your later years

Are upperclassmen intimidating? Honestly, they don't even care.

Do you get lost? Maybe the first couple of days, but once you get your schedule down its a piece of cake. If possible, if you have an orientation day before school starts, use that time to walk through your schedule. that way, on the first day of school, you have nothing to be nervous about.

    Have a good first year!

  7. Work and no fooling around - They give detention

  8. from my experience, the upper class don't do ****, its like a myth i guess to scare the freshman...most of the classes u take will be wit your class except electives of course...work load is fine unless ur trying to ace it in advance classes
