  1. not that i know of

its just common curdosy to keep quiet when their serving,

but if your being too loud or saying rude stuff, then the teacher or reff has the right to kick you out.

  2. Lol..no..unless there is cussing language..or putting other players down..i used to play!

  3. It usually depends on the confrence, or the specific school. When i played, the crowd usually had to be quite while someone is serving, and no noise makers, (cowbells, blow-horns etc..) we're allowed. but other than that...our team loved noise...it helped us get hyped.

  4. nope..as long as they dont say any foul language or disrespect the referree..if they do, the reffs will kick them out

  5. I don't believe that there is ever any rule in the United States that can limit the loudness of fans... probably with the only exception in Golf.

  6. depends on how loud you are and if it is bothering the players or the reff.

  7. There are no rules about loud cheering.  Actually, we want LOUD fans at volleyball matches.  I had the honor of being selected to call lines for the USA vs Cuba tour match in Houston in 1989 or 1993 in a post Olympic match.  It was on TBS.  It was in a sold out 10,000 seat arena.  And they were LOUD.  It was incredible.  The noise and energy of the crowd spilled out to the players on the court.  The players were FIRED up.  A national television match and 10K fans in the seats.

There are rules about rude and obscene fans.  They can be removed.  And some schools and conferences have rules about artificial noisemakers.  And whistles are never allowed for obvious reasons.

  8. I don't think there's rule is against loud cheering. There's probably a rule against harrassment. It's the coach's job to coach, the player's job to play, and the crowd's job to support their team.

  9. At my school, we try and make it silent for the serve.  Of course no cow bells or such.  But I think thats just the athletic directors choice.

  10. No official rules from the games persepective, but each venue may have their own rules.

For example, my high school had rules against swearing at players and being generally disruptive. My university had constables who could kick you out of the gym for things like rude heckling or drinking

  11. there is no rule regaurding loud cheering from the crowd the crowd can cheer as much as they want but not like in a bad way.  booing the officials is another story now everone does it but i would say that shouldnt be aloud but cheering for your team and being nice about it i wouldnt see why that wouldnt be allowed but im not looking it up in any handbook on vball rules that is just my opinion
