Question:

High School baseball Practice?

Fall baseball practice is starting up and I'll be a sophomore. At my school the program places an emphasis on running, like they are crazy about it. It doesn't really bother me any more because I'm in way better shape, but last year as a freshman it definately gave me a shock. Anyways, do most coaches see ungodly amounts of running as necessary or do most use it to run excess kids off?

  1. running is key to baseball

for pitching legs are the secret weapon

you swing with your legs and hips

it builds up vital strength and endurance for games and will help you a lot throughout the spring season

  2. Although it seems like running that much seems like a waste of time because you usually don't run that much during an actual baseball game, it builds stamina and gives you more energy for when you do have to do a lot of running. It does not happen often during games but when it does you want to be prepared because thats usually when it counts the most.

  3. just promise me that you'll weaar a cup

  4. exercise

  5. hey man, im only a sophmore at my school, and last ear they ran our ***** off but its to condition you so you can last longer in games, and since legs and endurance are a big part of your game, it also helps with that. But of course the second year wont be easier unless ur conditioned better than last year. It may not be the most fun thing to do but some coaches run players more than others and running more makes u and your team better off
