Ok i am a freshmen this year (not in high school here we do junior high so i dont start high school tell next year) i played JV but i was one of the top players (the JV team was everyone who sucks there are no cuts) I have a consistant overhand serve i have good passes good sets and for someon who is only 5 3" pretty good hits. I love volleyball so much and next year there will be cuts i have a very low chance of making it because the coach at the high school knows all the girls who currently play on the Varsity at my school and is "friends" with them (they are all popular and will make it no matter what) but there are a few girls that i know i am better than i just have to prove i can beat them out i really need help i am not looking for answers like try your best, call the ball, push yourself, practice, etc. i am the most dedicated person there is i practice whenever i can for as long as i can i have the skills down great i need real secrets how do i get the coaches to see i can do it

  1. I play club and i played on my high schools JV team. What coaches are looking for is energy on the court a good leader someone to help everyone out ask the coaches for help and advice when needed and also ask what you can improve on. Coaches love to see astriving players wanting to learn about the game. Practice and just have FUN on the court. Be the leader. who cares about winning(well u do wanna win)lol but learn the game that is the best part. Practice everyday you get so much better.Good Luck and have Fun

  2. in highschool sports their are a lot of politics and nothing you can do to change that so workhard and stay positive at practice coaches notice that....also just play your game and pretend it's just another one of those practices.....also remember that highschool season doesn't really count for any thing it's club that matters....in club you improve the greatest and that's where scouts will see you not at a highschool team

    good luck though

  3. You need to get in contact the varsity coach. Let him know that you want to tryout in the summer and that you would like for him to tell you how prepare for them.   If you put yourself out there for the coach to know who you are and how dedicated you are, then  you'll good as gold.  Coaches love that type of stuff

  4. Ok, so i think i get the jist here.... you need to stand out!!!!!!! Your best bet would be to talk to the varsity coaches. Tell them how much you're looking forward to this season, how hard you've been practicing, and if you could come and practice with the varsity team. They will hopefully admire your determination. If they don't just keep trying. Try to befriend them. Always have a positive fun personality around them and joke with them. If they like your personality and you show them your determination and skill that starters position is all yours!!!!! Good luck!

  5. You got to talk to the coach!
