High Ville likely to win Bar Intermediate Open National Hunt Flat Race
High Ville is likely to prevail in the Doom Bar Intermediate Open National Hunt Flat Race at Exeter in England on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. The race winning horse will bag a cash prize of £1,430.
The going will be good to firm in the 2 mile 1 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 17:00 GMT, and a total of 15 runners will be seen in action. Their names are as follows: High Ville, Redlynch Rock, Aneyeforaseller, Berea Court, Fair Dreamer, Barney
Boy, Ma´ire Rua, Madam Fleur, Mount Vesuvius, Island Cruise, Maybeesway, Pod, Sylvan Legend, Ironpin and Kruseman.
Most of the runners are quite inexperienced, thus it would have been hard for the bookies to choose their favourite. However, they have given the best odds to High Ville, who seems to be a decent competitor and the punters will also be placing a lot of bets
in his favour.
The six-year-old gelding has participated in one NHF race and he managed to finish runner up in it. This was his first ever race and he impressed one and all with his brilliant speed and stamina. He was not rated favourite for that event, but still gave
a tough time to his rivals.
However, the David Arbuthnot’s trainee was unable to challenge the race winner in the end, as he ran out of gas. He will be much more comfortable in today’s race, as the rest of the runners are also inexperienced.
High Ville will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Paul Moloney, who has won quite a lot of races at this level.
On the other hand, Aneyeforaseller will also be the one to watch out for in the race, as he also seems to be in pretty good shape. He has raced once in a NHF event, but failed to finish on top of the table in it.
Despite that, the five-year-old gelding managed to secure the runner up spot, which indicates that he is quite capable of fighting for victories. He will be ridden by Brendan Powell, who is looking to make a name for himself in the sport. However, he needs
to improve his strike rate in order to do so.
