About a month ago, I came down with what I thought was a bad cold, and went to the drs as my throat was very sore. They ran some blood tests to check for glanduler fever, which came back negative, but he noticed my white blood count was high, and asked me to repeat in seven days. Whilst the dr was checking my glands, he came across a lump under my arm, on the side of my breast - He didn't seem too concerned about it, and requested I come back when I have my blood results, to have it looked at again. Since then I found another lump, a smaller one about pea size under my chin.
I called for my blood results on Monday, and was told My white blood count was ok, but I had to repeat another blood sample, for ECR.... I made an appointment for this morning, and went to have them done, The nurse asked about my lumps, and I told her they were still present, so she asked me to make an appointment with the Dr this afternoon. The Dr confirmed I had to repeat the blood as my platelets were high, and he wanted to see if they would go down... He felt my lumps, and requested I go back in 10 days, and said If they were still present, he would refer me to a specialist at the hospital. He doesn't seem to have a clue what is causing them, and I am worrying enormously about waiting another fortnight to have them looked at again.
Has anyone expeienced this kind of thing before? Or know anything about it? Any info would be massively appreciated!!
