  1. watch what you eat? possibly.. And more times then not your blood pressure can't go down with out going to see a Doctor.. Good luck

You can also go on line and search High Blood Pressure without medication...

  2. There are many options for lowering your blood pressure without using drugs. However, your choice of therapy must be relevant for your age, weight, general health status and any other contributing factors. Don't risk it, consult your doctor.

Using herbal remedies such as Cratageus and Rauwolfia can assist. Eliminating table salt from your diet may also assist. Also read up on a low sodium diet. Weight management is also important.

Exercise can help in reducing stress levels and your BP but first check with your doctor before starting any exercise program.

Recent research has also shown that listening to soothing music daily can assist with lowering blood pressure but I don't see this as the ultimate solution.

  6. It is possible to control blood pressure without drugs. But natural methods do not work for everyone. So try some natural methods, but be open to having to use drugs if nothing else works. High blood pressure is a killer.

Nutritional supplments: eliminate table salt. Take potassium supplements daily. Take calcium and magnesium, on ratio of 2 calcium to 1 magnesium.

Herbal  medicines: take a vasodilator and a diuretic. Several herbs have these medicinal properties. Hawthorne (Crategus) is a popular vasodilator which offers additional heart protection. Urtica (nettle root) is a particularly effective diuretic. Although you can purchase herbal medicines over the counter, it is best to take them under the direction of a licensed naturopathic physician.

Behavioral approaches: transcendental meditation or other forms of yoga meditation and breathing approaches work very well in many cases. There is also an inexpensive machine that monitors your rate of breathing and sends a signal for each inhale and exhale. This controls a reduction in the rate of breathing per minute, and extends the period of exhalation relative to inhalation. This will lower blood pressure immediately, and using this device daily will over time reduce blood pressure permanently for most users.

Use these approaches in conjunction with one another, and with a regular exercise program, and you should be able to control your pressure well.

However, if these fail, do not hesitate to use allopathic medications. High pressure is a killer!

  8. If blood pressure is only mildly high, try these drug free things, but get your doctor's permission.   If your blood pressure is very high, you can do this things while also taking prescribed meds.  After a few months of diet and exercise, ask your doctor to reduce drugs or let you stop them for a few weeks to see what happens.

Diet lower in fat, protein and salt, higher in fruit and veggies.

Moderate exercise like brisk walking for 30 minutes every day.  Quit smoking.   Lose weight.  Reduce stress.

This does not work for everyone, you may have a genetic predispostion to high blood pressure and need drugs.  Untreatred high blood pressure can cause heart attack, stroke, organ damage, blindness and premature death so do not attempt any non drug therapy without regular checking by your doctor.

  9. Check out medicinal uses for cayenne pepper. Good stuff

  10. A meatless diet free from packaged and processed foods, and regular exercise.

  11. On top of watching what you eat, try relaxation exercises or yoga they may well help.  I have to stress though, before coming off any prescribed medication you should consult a medical professional!
