  1. You mom is diabetic, and the pills aren't working.

From the symptoms you list, I would guess that your mom is what is called an Uncontrolled Diabetic.  SHE NEEDS A DOCTOR'S HELP IMMEDIATELY!  She probably needs insulin shots

If her feet hurt, that means she probably has neuropathy.  For that to happen the diabetes has been happening for a LONG TIME.  That means she has probably done other damage to her body, especially her eyes and kidneys.

If your mom does not get her blood sugars under very tight control, she will die.  You need to urge her to see a doctor as soon as [possible -- tomorrow if it is possible -- and get proper treatment for her diabetes, (insulin of necessary) before she goes blind, has to have dialysis, or has to have her feet amputated.

  2. Has your mother changed her food plan? eating low carb foods will help to lower glucose levels a lot.

She may need to be taking insulin injections too.

If we allow our glucose levels to remain high by not changing our eating habits we will stay super tired all the time and not want to do much of anything. Mom probably needsto cut out all the starchy foods for a while til she can get control of her blood sugar levels. This means no rice, cereals, pastas, breads, potatoes, carrots, peas, corn, soft sweet fruits or most milk products.

When she gains some control she can reintroduce some of those foods in very limited quantities back into her food plan to see what they do to her sugar levels.

    Much good luck.
