Hey I was wondering, I know a lot of basic stations have gone high def, so does that mean u dont need cable for a high def tv???

  1. If your tv has an atsc digital tuner which most HDTVs have now, then you can get your locals in HD for free with an off air antenna. Most tv tuners now will also scan the local HD from a basic cable hook up as well.
