High definition question, toronto ON?

Question

hey, i live in toronto and some news anchor guy said a buddy of his got an antenna i dunno if it was a special one or something but he tapped into buffalo high definition tv, i have no idea if this this will work but if you live in my area and have done this can you help me out?

As Jake said, it's not a really difficult thing.  There may even be Toronto stations that broadcast "over-the-air" HD signals.

Of course, you need a TV that has an HD receiver in order to do this.  Most of the current crop of flat-panel TVs have this, but not all.

Many local channels broadcast their HD signals over the air for free. So he isn't tapping into the signal per say but just picking it up. It might take a large antenna to do it but it is legal and easy.
