    That's why potassium is the primary active agent used in the United States in lethal injections for capital punishment (death penalty) cases.

    You need to ingest enough dietary potassium for proper health, but if you get WAY more than you need, it *will* kill you.  Fortunately, this it is virtually impossible to ingest that amount while eating a normal diet.

    Sorry, Microbee, but sodium ions are Na+ (not Na++), and sodium is not effective as a means of inducing cardiac arhythmia or cardiac arrest.  You need to keep studying!
