High pitch sound from the speakers

Question

I have this annoying high pitch sound coming from both speakers. I checked the cable hook up and all of the power sources, I even tried a DVD though the system and I still heard the buzz, after a hald hour I started to develop ear pain and a headache? Ever hear of this?
