High pitched noise coming from my tires.. whats the problem?

Question

when i accelerate theres a high pitched noise coming from the front left tire.. but when I hit the brakes.. it stops.. what is the problem?

It could be either a bad wheel bearing or the brake pads are shot.

check the tire, it might be steel showing in the tire
