Question:

High school Junior Year Classes?

I'm signed up for AP Language, AP US History, Honors Pre-Cal, Honors Physics, Spanish 4, Film Studies, and Drama 3.

Ultimately I want to go to a competitive college and study something to do with the Performing Arts or English.

Are the classes I've chosen compatible with what I want to eventually study? Are they manageable for someone who also does three shows a year (drama) and wants to have a part time job?

  1. You should be fine for UVA with what you are taking. Some schools don't make AP courses available until senior year. The fact that you were involved in theater and had a part time job while taking AP courses will serve you well applying to the great colleges.

And as an English or related major, taking Calc next year and hopefully the AP test might take you, if you get a 4 or 5, well into your math requirement for your B.A.
