Question:

High school courses for a director...?

so im starting grade 12 soon and i want to know what corses i should take to become a film/commercial director or screenwriter... well anything to do with the film industry but not acting so what courses to take?

can u list them which are madatory....

    I'm in film school myself right now, and honestly that is the first step.

    Well my school is a college/university. I'm going to get my degree in Screenwriting, so really, apply for film school. Acting isn't really covered much unless you choose it.


  2. For general career info:  http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search 'Actor's, producers and directors' or such.

    Your high school may offer some theatre courses such as stage production or such.  Perhaps they also have a theatre program where one can get involved with behind-the-scenes type of volunteering.

  3. probably Directing or Playwriting for sure. Lots of English classes.. does your school have a film studies department? or maybe a school run tv station? if so, join it! otherwise, just study up on your films and you should be good to go!
