Is it possible to do 2 years of foreign exchange? In my 9th grade year i went to china for a year with afs and now i'm in 11th grade and really want to go to foreign exchange in japan or thailand. Is this allowed? And would AFS allow me to go with them again?

  1. If you have the money, then I don't see why not.

I'm pretty sure they will let you. Just contact AFS, and ask them. I almost guarantee they will say yes. Make sure that you are going to have all the classes you need to graduate highschool though. Because some classes aren't offered abroad.

And if AFS, happens to say no you can't do it a 2nd year, then go through another program. Some good ones are:

  2. If you have the money, a program will most likely accept you. The more pertinent question here is will your high school allow it? Will you be able to get enough credits to graduate on time? You need to check with your counselor on that first. It may require some summer school or additional on-line or correspondences classes on your part to make it happen.

  3. AFS will let you. check with your school to make ure you arer allowed.
