High school fundraising ideas?

We're a group of freshmen trying to raise as much $ as possible so by senior year, we can throw an awesome homecoming/prom. So far, we're still coming up with ideas on what to sell at school. I mean, it doesn't have to be at school, as long as we get cash. We're looking for donations from restaurants or stores but so far, no luck. Is there anything else we can do?

  1. I know of a great way for your school to raise cash. There is no cost for you up front. There are two options: However you can choose to do them both.

First, you can sell gift cards for officially licensed NCAA and NASCAR merchandise. The gift cards are usually in $25 increments. For every card you sell you will receive between 15-25% of the sale. If you sell a total of 1000 cards this year that's between $3,750 and $6,250.

Secondly, you can promote an officially licensed NFL, MLB, NCAA, NASCAR and NBA website. The company will issue your school a promotional code. The promotional code will give the customers up to 20% off their purchase and your school will receive up to a 15% discount.

I know this program works because i have seen other schools use it in the orlando area. Borne4marketing is a new company that looks to find interested retail outlets an opportunity to use word of mouth marketing. Just send them your contact information and they can set you up with a complete promotional package at no cost to you.

    Good luck with your search.

  2. Go to the mall and ask one store or more, if they would consider a shopping night... Make tickets and sell, have the stores give away prizes.... our seniors did that in November each year right before Thanksgiving.

Another one is have all the freshman's family donate anything but clothes.... talk to the nearest grocery store and ask to use their parking lot on a weekend day.  First call the local city clerk or courthouse, ask if you need a small permit for that day.  My sons's school raised 25K for a trip that way.  You can have one every spring..... rows and rows of nice stuff always is donated... ask folks to give to you :)

Bake cookies, cakes and etc., by allowing parents to contribute to a bake sale.... On a Saturday, rent skate board ramps, a freshman band that wants to show off, make cool invites on the computer, make a theme like "BAKE off this week with PUDDLE OF MUD or STAIND"

Great ideas are out there.... Raffle away a new TV - sell 250 tickets for $2.00 and buy one and keep the profits.  Or buy an XBOX or PS3... a MP3 player.... a prepaid cell phone...

    Good luck :)

  3. well in school you can make clothes for your class and sell them. like class sweatpants, sweatshirts, shorts, shirts. and outside you can do huge carwashes, you can get together a  yardsale where everyone contributes stuff to sell. at my school we sell mulch throughout the whole school district(this fundraiser is HUGE, it makes sooo much money). you can do random jobs like yard work, painting house numbers etc.

  4. Try http://www.mpoweropen.com

    Hope this helps!

  5. I work with a company that can help you set up fundraisers for any project you might have. We have scratch and help cards, spinners, and even cookie dough! Most of these will give you advance time before payment is due, and there's no shipping charges. One of the best to use is a web based promo offer fundraiser that costs you nothing to set up and use, you just need to promote your project with emails and flyers to those who might want to help you and get a great deal on things like Netflix, blockbuster, As Seen On TV items, and the like.
