  1. prolly in the low mid 40s

  2. As you can see from the answers, your best bet is to contact the coach and ask what their players normally shoot.  I bet you'd have a good shot if you can shoot in the 40s, but it really depends on how competitive your school's program is.

When I was in high school, some teams were much harder to make than others in the area - you had to try out at my school, but there were often no cuts at the other schools because they could barely get enough people.

  3. That depends on what the others trying out shoot.  I help out a friend of mine who is varsity coach of a large high school (5000 students).  Boys on varsity shoot high 30s for nine holes, girls shoot 40 to 45 for nine holes.

  4. Check with the current high school golf coach at your school and find out what last year's team averages were. I'm a coach and I know that it varies year to year and school to school. You can make my varsity team if you can break 50. We don't have a course in our town so most of the golfer who come out have never played. I always remind them we are the best team with no course. The nearest course is 32 miles to the east. I usually get my better players to shoot under 45 but it takes a couple of years. Good luck on making the team.

  5. ull hav to ask ure coach
