High school gym... help!?

Question

I'm starting my junior year tomorrow, and I'm signed up to take some PE class that's required to graduate. I know this sounds dorky, but will I have to change in front of other students when dressing out? Are you supposed to shower at the end of class, and if so, do they generally have stalls available for this?

In the event that I do have to change/shower without the privacy of a stall, I want everything down there to look normal so people don't make fun of me... so trimming is normal right? How close should I trim? Thanks for the help!

I wouldn't trim to much. You don't want to look like you've not reached puberty.

I have no idea how many other boys will be in the class with you so lets just imagine its 25.  

Normally its a small group of boys who harass  the other boys.

You will be one of 25 boys thinking the exact same thing.  Yes even the annoying boys fear they are small.  When you are teased the best response is to go with the tease.

For example if someone was to pull your shorts to your knees you have one of two options.

1)Scream and abuse them as you pull your shorts back up.

Everyone in the area will laugh and you will fell that are laughing at you.

2)Turn around fact the person and laugh as you kick your shorts off for just a minute.  

Everyone in the area will laugh and you will fell that are laughing at the guy who did this to you.

The beauty of option 2 is that it takes away the fun from the offenders.

And be honest,  if walking around in your jocks for a few minutes does that then its worth it.  

Same theory if they make fun of you in the shower.  Lets imagine the tease was that you are small.

Maybe grab your self and say, I dont care as long as it works. As you wave it at them.  

Few guys will come back for a second helping.

The absolute worst thing you can do is make a fuss as that is exactly the sort of response that they are seeking. They want to up set people.

As there are another 20 or so other boys to poke fun at they will go to them.  

Regardless of how well equipped you are always remember.

Why do you need to impress them anyway.  Later in life with a partner it will be how good you are rather than how well equipped.

you can avoid changing by wearing shorts under your pants.Most school showers are like 4 shower heads around a pole and about 6 sets of poles and they are in the middle of a floor. You usually aren't required to shower but the people in your other classes would appreciate it. You should not be ashamed to shower or change in front of the other guys, You should be proud of whatever your Mama gave you.As far as trimming goes just trim your pubes down real short the shorter they are the longer your p***s looks and totally shave the ball sack.

Dude we all have the same junk down there a 2 to 1 ratio dont worry about your junk or trimming your hair leave it alone. if you cut it too much then you will get made fun of. Walk into the lockerrom drop your pants put on your PE uniform and do your thing . when yoru done strip down get a towel and take a shower dry off put on your shorts paints shirt and carry on.  as far as the briefs thing try buying some colored ones so they dont really stand out in white

You just have to change out. Usually you don't have to shower. It's not a big deal

not sure about the stall thing every school is different but it is most likely pretty open just don't bend over to pick up the soap

you will probably have to change where others can see you but i wouldn't worry you will be fine as far as trimming id say not to yet because depending on where you from i don't know if common to do so .so id say just keep it the way it is

well, when you change you keep your boxers on, so you wont be flashing any stuff. and if you shower after, just use a stall one and if some a*****e makes fun of you just say "oh sry, man, if u wanted to see my junk you could have just asked"

Congratulations on starting junior high.

You don't sound dorky at all.

I'm afraid no one here can tell you what it will be like because it varies from school to school. Some schools require you to take a shower and have "gang showers", a big shower area with no dividers. Some have stalls for showers. Some do not require showers. At the very least, you will probably be expected to change your shirt and shorts/pants in front of the other students.

You can trim your hair if you want, but there is no real reason to. I suspect people would be more likely--not less--to make fun of you if they realised you trimmed your hair anywhere below your neck.

Don't worry about it so much. Whatever happens, everyone will be just as nervous. It's not a big deal and you'll get used to it quickly.

Just change no showers needed..... unless you wanna. and no normally there are no stalls.... Also keep in mind everyone else is nervouse about others looking too.... so no one is gonig to look at others "junk" so to speak....  its only HS   it will be over soon!

I am going into my Senior year of high school, and I have never had to shower for PE classes.

It depends on where you live; here in Encinitas, CA, they do not require students to shower together, but I'm sure that this is still practiced in other parts of the country.

Don't worry about dressing out; you won't need to take off your underwear for that, and nobody pays attention.  People don't want to make a big deal about it, and so it never becomes one.

As for trimming, many people do this and it is merely a matter of personal preference.  I have friends who like to have their pubic  hair at least an inch long, some of them keep it shorter than 1/4 inch, and several of them (mostly the girls, but a few guys too) shave it completely.

It's all about what feels the best and most comfortable with you, and from my experience, nobody will give you any problems with it no matter how long or short it is.  People know that if they mock somebody else in the locker room, they are an open target for anybody to pick on, so just be respectful of everybody else's bodies and choices and you will recieve the same.

if you like briefs, but want to be wearing what everybody else is, why don't you try boxer briefs?  they are as tight as briefs, but the length of boxers.  i have to wear them for martial arts (boxers limit flexability) and i find them very comfortable.

You don't have to trim anything, no one has too.  Our school doesn't shower after P.E just basketball games.  Maybe you can change in the stall if you're that self conscious.  Just wear nice undies :]

Hmm, well actually in many schools showering is no longer required. If your school office is open now, you can call them and ask them so you know ahead of time. Also if you decide to, well, "trim", just don't do it too much because It will look funny. Don't want a v****a with bald spots now do we? Also I'm guessing your a girl. :)
