  1. make the most of your freshman year... it's the start of high school

as for friends... choose your friends wisely

    your grades will always matter

there will be people who will tell you that your freshman year wouldn't really count... don't listen to that

and don't get too distracted by the opposite s*x

  2. make sure you always do your homework and ask questions if you dont get something. also it would gain you a lot of friends if you joined a sport or even a club. it'll be fine =]

  3. using your time well--do your work before you play

getting your teachers to like you--pay attention, follow directions, ask questions, and do your homework :o)

  4. The first thing I want to say - this time next year, your freshman year will begin to be a memory, and with each year, it will fade.

**Be yourself.  If it feels right, it probably is, if it feels wrong, it probably is.  You can't pretend to be who you aren't.

**Be respectful (even pleasant and helpful) to those in authority, even if you don't agree with them.  Beleive it or not, teachers are people too, and they like to be treated nicely.  Rudeness will get you nowhere, but being nice can open up so many doors.  You never know when you will need them to write a reference for you for a club or scholarship.  Just make sure you aren't being fake about it.

**Keep a calendar and to-do list easy to get to at all times.  Write down everything you need to do as you find out about it, so there is no forgetting homework or projects.

**Smile at people!  No one will come up to someone who looks like they will bite their head off.  You can't make too many friends, even if it is the wierd guy who asks everyone if he can have their leftovers at lunch.

**Join a club, or two.  Not only are these great to meet people, they look good when you are applying to college, especially if you stay in them the four years or hold an office.

**If you have a problem with a teacher, be sure to ask them if you can talk to them about it after school.  Stay calm and respectful, even if it seems they aren't being fair.

These things should help make the year a success.  Good luck!

  5. just be yourself and have fun or try to make friend not being yourself
