  1. its not online or anything but i did

CATS INT. out of Texerkana Texas its Christian learning but also you od school work they just apply the bible to it it don't cost to terribly much just look up CATS INT on the internet and you'll see what it is

    but homechooling is BORING!

  2. My son "attends" Keystone High School, www.keystonehighschool.com, online. He takes classes online, at his own pace, and they are graded by teachers with Keystone. Keystone is a fully accredited school, so there will be no questions about the diploma. Since it is at his own pace the courses he has difficulty with he can work through and actually understand the concepts. The areas that he knows well can be completed more quickly.

Currently he is also taking classes at the local community college and one classes with Keystone. The college classes are transferable and he will also receive high school credit for them.  Don't worry about that aspect of schooling, but you have that freedom when it's time.

Keystone will also accept homeschooling portfolios for credit.    This means that you can homeschool for particular subjects and take classes in those areas your family doesn't feel comfortable teaching.  My son would not have wanted me trying to teach him math!

For us this has been a good combination of homeschooling and the school experience where others grade his work.

Just be sure you have outlets where you are with other teens.  My son is involved with martial arts, his job, and has friends from church.  Homeschooling doesn't mean cutting yourself off from everyone outside your family.

  3. I use Penn Foster High School.

It's $900 for all four years.  If you have already earned credits in regular high school you can transfer them and your tuiton will be a lot less.

Also, www.flvs.net is based in FL, but they accept students from all over the world.  It's also free.

    Check out the websites.

  4. I know youre looking for resources, but I just wanted to make a suggestion.

I know a few people who have decided to be homeschooled during highschool, but honestly it really is not the best idea, and I'll explain why...

In highschool, really what you are learning is life experiences, good and bad.  If you are not exposed to the social aspect to being in highschool, you will not be prepared adequately for the real world once you are finished your education.  In highschool its not about what you're learning in the classroom, but at lunch, study periods and extra curricular that really matter.

I know being at the age where you're in highschool you will probably resent my answer, because I would too when I was there, but honestly, it's really the best thing you can do for yourself.  You need to learn the skills(not book and education skills, more social, how to deal with problems, people, issues etc) and go through things that you will go through that you will only learn from attending a highschool.

  5. try penn foster or www.go2iq.com this is the school my 10th grader is using.

  6. Texas doesn't have an online public high school, I don't think. However, you can function as a private school, which means your parents would decide what you would need to do to graduate, provide a diploma and provide transcripts.

If you really want online, I've heard a lot of positives about Keystone and American School of Correspondence. I have no clue how expensive they are. You might also check out http://www.abekaacademy.org/ .

  7. There are many online charter schools all over

here is some info that may help you, if you need anything else feel free to email me

  8. Christian Liberty Academy is a Christian based program. Penn Foster is another program. Both of these aren't very expensive.
