Question:

High school jobs: Pros vs Cons

by  |  earlier

I'm making a spoof graph for my school paper comparing a job's risk vs. its pay to see which jobs are worth looking into for high schoolers. Jobs that are dangerous (window cleaner), illegal (hit man, drug dealer), or inconvenient (newspaper delivery) have obvious downsides, but some (paper delivery and window cleaner) may be worth the pay. Other jobs have no cons (convenience store) but bad pay.

Any help with finding other ways high schoolers could earn money that have an interesting/amusing pro or con would be helpful. Thanks a lot. Please include the pay estimate if able.

  2. Welfare abuse.  Pro: You can sit on your lazy butt while drawing a check that a hard-working American is paying taxes to fund.   Con:  A hard-working American is having to find a way to feed his family as well as the lazy bums who won't work.  Welfare pay estimate:  Just keep having illegitmate kids and that check will get bigger and bigger, the sky's the limit when Joe Taxpayer's footing the bill!
