High school lunch Ten points =]?

Question

Im a freshman and i just got my schedule. There are 4 possible lunch times. 4a 4b and 5a 5b. well im in 5b and the rest of my friends are in another hr. Im shy so i dont make friends to easily. Can anyone give me any advice? has this happened to you?

I go to a small school where everybody knows everybody so I personally don't have to face this problem. I do, however, have friends that have to face this so I can put in my two senses.

Finding people to sit with at lunch can be complicated,

but you can always casually talk to others on your way

to lunch or in the lunch line and ask if they mind if you

yes, in your first classes before lunch you can hang out with some people and if you like them you can sit with them at lunch if they have the same one, if not you can sit with someone you have in a class and you can get to know them, the answer is to get to know people.

Believe me, I've been there, lots of people have. When I was a freshman I moved to completely new school and didn't know anyone, and as easy as it is for people to say "just go talk to new people" it really is pretty tough. However the one thing I've learned in high school is if people act like jerks and ignore you or whatever, that's their problem, not yours. Stay confident and keep trying, and before you know it you'll have plenty of friends.

Try and make friends in the class you have your lunch period in, it might be rough at first with new people, but it usually gets better pretty quickly. Good luck w/ your first year!
