High school musical audition song?

i'm auditioning for gabriella from HSM. for auditions were not aloud to sing a song from HSM. so i need to pick a song that will help the people judging me see me as a gabriella. i was thinking of singing "only hope" by mandy moore. do you think that song is ok? if not do you have any suggestions? I'm a soprano, but i can sing alto well too.

if you're auditioning for the musical DONT sing a pop song unless its specifically stated. when you're auditioning for a musical choose a musical thetre song. try songs from more modern pop musicals (ex. grease, wicked) but don't pick some powerful belting song like defying gravity from wicked if you're auditioning for gabriella. I think "for good" from  wicked is a good choice.
