  1. no.

  2. Everyone in high school wants to be popular but you'll soon realize later in life that it is quality versus quantity when it comes to friends.

  3. find people that are interested in the same things that you are

sometimes popular kids are s***s. so watch out.

  4. be friends with EVERYONE even the shy kids and the super popular kids. Join whatever club or sport the popular kids are in, like volleyball or student council or drama or whatever it is at your school. Just don't ever be stuck up to anyone and everyone will have nice things to say about you

  5. Join a lot of clubs and try out for some sports team and you can meet more people and make friends. Maybe you can also say hi to the people next to you in your classes. There are higher chances of making friends through proximity. As for conversation: Maybe ask things like so how do you like this school so far? What's your favorite color? What do you like to do? if any similarities and common interests you can go on and talk about it.

  6. yeah, if you dont know what to say, dont say anything at all until you have something to say that matters...

the one who speaks less is listened the most.

  7. Talk to everyone, not just the "cool kids".

  8. Just be who you are, and you will make friends. Dont try to fit it, becuz then you really dont, and your making friends for the wrong reasons. Its better to have friends you get along with, and they usually are interested in the same things as you, such as parties, and they may have them. What im saying is, popularity isnt the key, i was popular with the biggest prep group in the school, and hated it, so I went to being a geek, that smoked weed, and drank. Im not like that anymore, but Im sure there are people like you that you will have fun with, and you will be popular in their eyes.

  9. become apart of cheer or poms. i'm going to try out for the poms team when i'm in high school. if you don't know how, just be friends with someone whose friends with a popular group and you might be pulled in.

but remember, it's not THAT important.

By the way, poms is cheer without the flying like in cheer. some people don't know that, so just saying just in case you didn't know.

  10. just be as gregarious, genuine, and frienldy as you can. at least that way you're guaranteed to make some real friends too, not just know people.

  11. just join a sport and u make friends easy

  12. lol. popularity is'nt all that in my school. All we worry about is making it out alive O.o

  13. Concentrate on your classes. If you can get involved in any clubs or school government, it will help you. Don't be phony. Let people know the real you and be helpful to students and teachers.

  14. LIFE LESSON. Don't try to be popular that is just immature middle school behavior. Just meet people make friends. Laugh when something funny happens turn around and say wow that was funny wasn't it they agree. Your friends.

  15. Whenever you pass by people say hi, ask them how there weekend went, joining sports is also a plus. Make sure you participate in class so more people notice you. But remember to act like yourself becuase its gunna be super hard to keep up with lies in the long run.

  16. Just be friendly. =)  I think what you mean is you just want to make the best of high school that you can, and I'm sure a bunch of people will misinterpret what you said, but they probably just had a terrible time in high school, so don't listen.

Anyways, be friendly but remember to stand your ground and try not to make any enemies (unless you have a legit reason).  Don't backstab someone even if they do it to you..  It's a great way to actually be able to ENJOY high school rather than by badmouthing everyone and having to worry about who is talking badly about you...   It'll also help you when you get out of school w.making friends, etc...

Good conversation starters are anything that is genuine.  If you love a girls purse, instead of just loving it, walk up to her, tell her it's adorable and ask where she got it..  How can you hate someone who is complimenting your stuff?  Just don't try too hard to impress one single person and you'll be fine. =)

Good lucck and I hope you have a good first year!
