  1. Stick with the regular high school.

Join the Soccer team and im sure you will meet lots of new friends! :]

  2. I had to make the same decision a couple of days ago.

I hate my school too. More than half the people that I know where into drugs, wild parties and failing. It was horrible for me. I didn't make too many friends like my other schools. Most of the teachers were useless. And half the time at school, I felt hopeless because I had to wait for everyone before starting another lesson.

So I choose the K12 Virtual Academy. I liked how my schedule would be more flexible and that I could work on my own pace. I also read my reviews and most people seem to enjoy it.

  3. My kids both loved high school at home.  They were old enough to get out and enjoy social act ivies and make friends.  They liked the less pressure that usually comes with public high schools and in our case, they didn't have to deal with the social circles that harrass and torture others.  My daughter said she wouldn't have changed it for anything.

  4. my daughter is a special needs student and had trouble making friends as well and she is homeschooled and still is able to join clubs, sports etc. She is much happier than she ever was in school

  5. My son attend  a school that is a combination type school. You may have something similar in your area. It's called Pacific Coast High School in CA. They offer some online classes and some on campus classes.

They also have prom, drama, yearbook and mock trial. It's a great place and not just a drop out school. Many of the kids like the flexible schedule because they are involved in sports and acting.

If you decide to homeschool, check in your area for co-ops so that you can meet and hang out with other teens and/or find a church youth group that has a lot of social activities so you can get connected.

    Warm Regards,
