High school tennis team?

Okay so I'm thinking about trying out for the tennis team when I get into high school. Can anyone tell me some of the procedures like what happens and what you're suppose to do and all? I have never tried out for a tennis team before (my school doesn't have one) and I have never played tennis before..which I know will lower my chances of being able to be on the team by a lot but I still want to give it a try.

Well if your school never had a tennis team and now they do your chances won't be that low.  I started on a tennis team the first year the school opened so we were all in the same boat and they basically will take everyone possible.  There is JV and Varsity so that's good too.  You can decide if you want doubles or singles so that's a possiblilty.  They help you more likely after school for a couple hours a day.  They do stretching, rally's, give you some insight on how the game is played.  The first two weeks before school starts is when you play constantly it's like the football team and you are learning everything so it's great when there's no school and they do that.  Then there's about 3 weeks of no tournaments with other schools.  On tuesdays and thursday's there's tournaments with other schools.  You usually either have it at your school or at the opponents school.  You usually get done about 5pm.  But it's very well worth it.  Maybe you should look more into the game before you get into it. Actually, the US Open starts tomorrow on Television so go for it!   Good Luck!
