No one stays on top of you in college. Meaning if you don't attend class or do work, your professor doesn't call you out, you simply fail or get points taken off. They don't care about excuses, doctors notes or anything, you miss class it's your business and your grade.

Maturity sometimes, people are very serious about their academics sometimes depending on the school and what major they are pursuing.

The freedom to make your own schedule at your own time. To study whatever you would like, within the college requirements. You don't have to have class every day and you can have class in the after noon or evening providing later sleeping.

For the most part or at least in my own personal experience, you have to study. Most professors don't play favorites and even if you are their "best student" they will still fail you if you don't past their finals and finals are a big thing in college. Especially in huge lecture halls with 40+ students where the professor doesn't know your name and can only identify you through your work

Bigger/smaller classes. Depending on the school and class, some classes can be as small as 15 or 20 students which allows a lot of individuality and some classes with have 60+ students (as mentioned before, lecture halls)

Long breaks. Depending on the school, some colleges have a month off for winter break. Mid-decemeber to late Jan and longer summer vacations, early may-late august/early september.

New activities such as studying abroad, joining fraternities/sororities and clubs. Some schools even have on-campus bars and lounges even though you can't drink until you're 21.

1. No dress code, at least not in my college. You can wear hats and stuff.

2. You can 'add' and 'drop' classes

3. Teachers are not as lenient if you dont turn in your assignments.

4. You can get up in the middle of class and just leave.

5. Teachers CAN curse. :p mine says sh-- and fu-- a lot.

6. You dont have to go to college everyday

7. MUCH shorter hours (depending on what you're taking and major)

8. No annoying cliques. People are a lot more mature.

9. You can pick what time you want to go to class.

10. No on gives a **** about you. they are just there for credits and then gtfo.
